Tax Projection & Planning

One of the most important yet under utilized services available in the accounting profession is undoubtedly tax projection and planning. While not necessary for the average taxpayer, those who find themselves in unexpected or complicated tax circumstances can benefit from a thorough analysis of their individual and/or business tax situation. Duffner & Company P.C. will provide tax planning for all clients who feel it is necessary. The service is available to all of our clients and is always performed for all of our McDonald Franchisees during the last quarter of their tax year to help ensure that decisions that can affect the final tax outcome are made before it becomes too late.

The process includes our providing the taxpayer a detailed schedule showing the projected income and expense for each of their operations and the potential tax implications (before planning procedures) vs. the potential values (after planning procedures) and a set of instructions that, if performed, will potentially save the taxpayers thousands of dollars in tax liability.

Business Consultation

In today’s business environment, owner/operators should be focused on improving their operation, not tedious back-office responsibilities that can monopolize their valuable time. Duffner & Company P.C. can provide clients an in-depth analysis of their current business operation ranging from document filing to report preparation using a three phase system.

Phase I includes an assessment of the client's existing processes . Based on our initial assessment, we will provide the client with a list of areas in which we see weaknesses and compile a set of feasible solutions we feel the client can implement at a relatively low cost.

The decisions made as a result of the Phase I analysis will serve as the guideline to the development of the Phase II processes. These will involve suggestions more intricate to the business operation such as cost analysis.

Phase III finalizes the efficiency process by implementing the decisions made in Phases I and II. We will provide a “Final Report” to summarize the entire process, decisions made, and the potential benefits that will be derived as a result.

Monthly Financial Compilation

Many of our clients require our professional accounting services on a regular basis because they do not have accounting personnel to prepare the complex financial statements that are required in today’s business environment.

Our monthly services include compiling a balance sheet, related statements of income, and a statement of cash flows. A compilation is limited to presenting in the form of financial statements information that is provided by our clients. Generally these statements, without any additional disclosures, are sufficient for third parties, such as the client’s bank. They also serve to provide the client with a better understanding of their business operation and financial condition on a regular basis. In addition, we also provide supplemental schedules which are designed in consultation with the client to provide them valuable management information.

At the conclusion of a company’s year, company management or the lending institution may request to have these same statements reviewed. As an additional service, we can provide a year end review report. Should you desire one or should it be requested we can accommodate your needs.
